The following directions are for 1 Farmer’s Walk only. Repeat directions when creating second Farmer’s Walk.

Step 1 – Attaching 2x4 to 4x4:

  1. Take 2 of the 2x4’s and line them up on each long end of a 4x4. Measure 1 ½”x1” from the edge on each end of the 2x4. You should have 4 marks per 2x4.
  2. Predrill 2x4 using 1/8” bit
  3. Screw 2x4 to 4x4 using wood screws.
  4. Repeat process for remaining 2x4.

Step 2 – Attach weight flanges

  1. Take 4x4 and measure in 6” on each end. This will be the center-mark for the flanges.
  2. Place flange on 4x4 centered on the board and with the mark just made.
  3. Trace a circle in all four flange holes for screw placement.
  4. Predrill screw holes using 1/8” bit
  5. Screw flange onto 4x4
  6. Repeat process for remaining weight flange.

Step 3 – Attach 1 handle end

  1. Take 4x4 and measure in 17 1/8” on each end. This will be the center-mark for the handle flanges.
  2. Place flange on 4x4 centered on the board and with the mark just made.
  3. Trace a circle in all four flange holes for screw placement.
  4. Predrill screw holes using 5/16” bit.
  5. Bolt flange onto 4x4, securing the ends with a washer and nut. Make sure bolts are tight.
  6. Take 4” black steel pipe and screw into flange. Tighten
  7. Attach 90 degree elbow to 4” pipe. Tighten
  8. Attach 12” black steel pipe to elbow

Step 4 – Attach remaining handle end

  1. Screw together flange, 4” black steel pipe and 90 degree elbow.
  2. Attach to 12” handle.
  3. Line second handle up on evenly on 4x4.
  4. Trace a circle in all four flange holes for screw placement.
  5. Move handle away from 4x4.
  6. Predrill screw holes using 5/16” bit.
  7. Bolt flange onto 4x4, securing the ends with a washer and nut. Make sure bolts are tight.

Step 5 – Attach weight flange pipes

  1. Take 6” black steel pipe and screw into weight flanges. Tighten
