Project Overview

Maintaining proper tire pressure is essential for vehicle safety, fuel efficiency, and extending the life of your tires. This project demonstrates how to quickly and accurately inflate your car tires using a portable 12-volt inflator or an air compressor, making it a simple task you can complete right in your driveway or in an emergency on the road.

Step 1: Check Your Pressure

Action: Determine the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.

Detail: Locate the PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) rating, usually found on a sticker inside the driver-side door jamb or in your owner’s manual.

Step 2: Power Up the Inflator

Action: Connect the tool to your vehicle’s power source.

Detail: Plug the 12-volt adapter into your car’s cigarette lighter or accessory outlet.

Step 3: Secure the Connection

Action: Attach the inflator hose to the tire valve stem.

Detail: Remove the valve cap and screw the air hose connector onto the valve until secure to prevent air leakage.

Step 4: Inflate to PSI
